What should I do when my NORWEH timber frame kit is delivered?
Your NORWEH kit will arrive via freight on a flatbed truck, palletized and wrapped. Taking the right steps at delivery protects you and ensures a smooth build experience.
Step-by-step delivery checklist:
- Have 1–2 people ready to help unload – timber components are heavy; you’ll need assistance moving pieces from the truck
- Inspect the pallet and packaging before signing – look for visible damage to the wrapping or pallet before the driver leaves
- Open and count all components – cross-reference received items against the packing list included in your shipment
- Photograph any damage or discrepancies – document with timestamped photos before moving any components
- Note damage on the delivery receipt – if there is any visible damage, write it on the carrier’s delivery receipt before signing
- Contact NORWEH immediately – if anything is missing, damaged, or incorrect, call +1 (866) 610-0610 or email as soon as possible
If you need to store the kit before building, keep it off the ground in a dry covered space such as a garage, or cover it securely with a weatherproof tarp outdoors.
