Sizes: Always measured in feet from outside post to outside post

Finish: CUTEK® Stain

Height: Inner height to bottom of beam = 8′ 2 1/2″. The peak height depends on the width.

10′ Width = 12′ Height

Each 2′ width increment = add 6″ height.

Pitch: 6:12 (26 degrees)

Overhang: The roof overhangs about 14″ past the post

Material: Douglas Fir Grade No. 1 Structural

Snow Load: 1-2 feet of snow

Roof: 2×6 tongue and groove roof boards included. These come as lengths and must be cut to during installation.

*Excluded: Shingles or metal for the roof is not included. Most customers choose something to match their property. A local roofing company can do this easily.

*Excluded: Post base brackets are not included. The most common footer is to anchor the post to Sonotube concrete footers. We recommend Ozco Post Base Brackets for $114 per bracket. Another popular footer is the screw piles fitted with a saddle and no need for additional brackets.

Footers & Foundations

Every NORWEH Pavilion starts with one thing: a strong, stable foundation. We recommend two trusted options for footings — both built to stand up to time, weather, and the test of craftsmanship. All footings are recommended to set below the frost line (typically 4ft) so the ground beneath stays stable year-round, preventing shifting or frost heave. We use CUTEK® Stain, the best-in-class wood protection oil, to keep your Douglas Fir structure looking beautiful for decades—without the typical headaches of wood maintenance.

Unlike regular stains that just coat the surface, CUTEK® penetrates deep into the wood, protecting it from the inside out. This means no peeling, flaking, or cracking—just rich, natural beauty that lasts.

It’s designed for extreme weather and works with the wood, not against it. All you need is a light recoat every 2–3 years to maintain color, or let it naturally silver over time while staying protected. You don’t have to worry about over-applying, the stain will just absorb into the wood and you’ll enjoy doing it!

NORWEH Components

The LT model uses a simplified bolt connection — a straightforward, sturdy design that ensures long-lasting strength and stability, maintaining the clean, refined style of our pavilions.

The HT model connects the posts and beams connect with a traditional mortise-and-tenon joint — stronger, cleaner, and easier to install than the typical use of bolts. Simply slide the beam down into the pocket.

The rafters are designed for easy installation, featuring a notched-out bird’s mouth that securely fits around the support beam. This design ensures a very strong and stable connection.

 

Mortise & Tenon Joinery

The connection between the posts and support beam utilizes a mortise and tenon joint, ensuring a secure and stable fit. This design allows for easy installation—simply slide the beam down into the pocket.

Every pavilion includes free shipping with white-glove delivery. Within 4-5 weeks of your order, our delivery team will schedule a convenient appointment, arrive at your home, and carefully unload your pavilion. The carrier will review all details with you in advance to ensure a smooth, stress-free experience.
